Never Get a Ticket From a Traffic Camera Again!

Have your spouse drive the car registered in your name and you drive their car. If a traffic camera takes a picture of a man driving a car registered in a woman's name (or vice versa), they send a "nomination" instead of a ticket. (Question: How does one tell the difference? Answer: Tickets have the court's phone number and address whereas nominations say "do not contact the court"). In short, nominations ask you to snitch on the driver captured in the photo. However, since you are not obligated to do so you can ignore it and nothing will happen (i.e. you will not have to pay the fine).

Avoid a Toll, and Traffic: In New York, Don't Use the Triborough Bridge; Use the Willis Ave and 3rd Ave Bridges Instead

If you are entering New York's far upper east side (that's a euphemism for spanish harlem) from the bronx, you usually go through the triborough bridge on 125th st. But, if you take the tiny, hidden gems of the Willis Ave or 3rd Ave bridges that are just a few blocks to the north, you can save the cost of the toll and the non-stop traffic on the triborough.

Don't Walk, Walk. Control Your Crosswalk

Use the code below to change the crossing signal in your favor. Walk up to the traffic signal on the corner of the street and depress the crosswalk button in the following sequence: 3 short clicks, 2 long clicks, 1 short click, 2 long clicks followed by 3 short clicks.
